The workshop
Our Story
Founded in 1994 by Joël Herrou in the Arrée
Mountains, the Herrou harp workshop produces
Celtic harps, replicas of historical models, according
to rediscovered ancestral techniques of instrumentmaking.
Joël Herrou, first historical Celtic harp maker in
Brittany, passed on his art to his two sons,
Jean and Mikaël Herrou.
Craft - Excellence - Tradition
The harps of the Herrou workshop are fully carved and pyrograved according to the historical models.
Each of our harps is unique, handmade with an attention to detail, made from local wood, from the felling of the tree up to the tuning of the instrument.
